Great news for the Western Monarch
It looked like they were slated for extinction just one year ago - and then we got a rebound in the population nobody was expecting. They are by no means out of the woods and remain in grave danger - but this is still exciting news and a reason to hope. Bye-bye stinky gas-powered machines - FINALLY
I just read that Governor Newsom has signed legislation banning the sale of gas-powered equipment in California, to be implemented "Jan. 1, 2024, or as soon as regulators determine is “feasible,” whichever date is later.". MBLC uses gas powered equipment very reluctantly.
