Creative solution - implemented in record time

I first heard about this idea just a few months ago: cover irrigation canals with solar panels to save water and generate electricity. I assumed it would take years to see if the idea ever was implemented. Unfortunately, we don't have time to waste - we need to make big moves and make them quickly, especially if we want to reach our target to fully de-carbonize in California by 2030: This is a brilliant idea and it's going in this fall, with completion slated for 2024 Let's hope the results are positive:
