Great news for the Western Monarch

It looked like they were slated for extinction just one year ago - and then we got a rebound in the population nobody was expecting. They are by no means out of the woods and remain in grave danger - but this is still exciting news and a reason to hope. Interestingly, our the extraordinarily dry spring of 2021 likely contributed to their breeding success last year.
